Default vtec-non vtec bearing differences??

I've been reading around on here cuz i gotta rebuild my b20/vtec....this is probably a REALLY stupid question but,

Is there any difference between vtec and non vtec engine bearings other than rod width on certain motors? i've noticed people blaming ls rod bearings for failure at high rpms...

the vtec rod bearings are tri-metallic. ls rod bearings are bi-metallic. ls motors spin bearings usually because of low oil pressure or rod bolt failure.
