VTEC louder with stock intake??
hey whats up guys Today I took off my my AEM CAI and threw on my stock one because of all the rain we've been getting and I didnt wanna suck up any water into my motor. I noticed that my VTEC engages alot louder and I feel more of a kick with my stock intake and filter. I mean all I have is the stock rubber intake hose and a stock filter taped up to it because I dont have the plastic bottom portion to the intake (I had to remove to install the CAI). Anyways, like I said my VTEC seems to kick in alot louder and engage harder. Whats up with that? Any reason for that??

Your engine runs a lot better with the stock airfilter / airbox. If i can speak better english then yet, i can explain you why that is.
But it's not normal that the vtec engage harder / you have more power with stock air filter, because a CAI is better for high rpm's.

I was really surprised when I heard my VTEC engage and the motor pull the way it does with the stock intake. **** I love it. Thing sounds mean when engaging. I thought maybe it was just me, but Ive even got it from a couple friends saying that it is way louder and seemed to pull more.
