Default Vtec problem

The other day I went out to run some errands and my car was running fine. Come home wash the car sit around for about 3 hours and go out again. While driving I then notice that my Vtec was not engaging. I go home try and figure out the problem. I change out Vtec solenoid's , check my oil , speedometer works but i checked the vss anyways. Still nothing at all but wasn't sure what else to check for. So this past weekend i take the car and put it on the dyno and play with the EMS and see if we can figure some things out and get some answers. Played with some fuel still nothing, Then went to play with high and low cam vetc settings. Found out that vtec would engage at low cam but not high . Pretty much determined it was a mechanical problem in the head. My question is what could be the problem im not sure exactly what im looking for when i pull the head or every thing I need to check for.

The set up is a obd2, gsr block , ctr pistons, arp rod and head studs, OEM 3 layer head gasket, b16 head port and polish , jun springs , jun retainers, jun 3 cams , and cam gears are set at zero. Any help would be most appreciative Thanks.

make sure you have enough oil in your car. there are also other variables as well. someone did a nice writeup a while back that said everything to check. maybe do a search because this is a common problem.

If everything is good, check the ecu ports for your vtec ****

If something is loose or a **** soldered job, it could be as simple as that

These are all signs off not enough oil pressure? What kind of oil filter do you have? Have you done any mods lately since this has happened?
