I like vtec controllers. I have one on my eg with a b18c1 swap. You can set your vtec obviously, change your air/fuel ratios as well.

Unless you adjust your VTEC engagement while on a dyno.....they are worthless.

Correct, you can actually lose horsepower and torque if you don't have the controller tuned on a dyno.

I personally could gain from a Vtec controller without a dyno. My crower 402's suck below about 6000 RPM and I know for a fact that moving my X-over point up from 4500 to 5500 or 6000 will gain me area under the curve. However I am waiting to get hondata and tuning. With certain mods a vtec controller can be helpful without a dyno.
