how can i tell which one is the problem? i know its either 1 of these 3 things....speed sensor, speed cable, or the cluster itself...is there a way to test out the 3 things to find out which isnt workn????
Yes, a faulty VSS sensor will stop the VTEC from engaging.
Your honda has to go faster than 30 Km/h before the ECU will allow the VTEC to engage. The ECU also reduces the RPM cutoff to around 6000RPM below this speed.
