Default Voltage help for Oxygen sensor.

I've got a lingering code 41 that I just can't seem to figure out.

I decided to go in there with a meter and test the 4 wires out.

I first tested at the strut tower harness, and then at the o2 harness end with and without the o2 hooked up.

From the strut tower harness to the o2 plug, the voltage is pretty much exactly the same.

So here it is with the o2 not hooked up/o2 hooked up

Grn- .015/.015

wht- Jumps between .4 and 1.5/ jumps between .6 and 1.5

orange- .03/12

yellow- 12/12

Should I be seeing more activity in the Green and the White wires?

Also, I tried with both a brand new Bosch sensor and my factory Honda, and were the same.

Any help will be appreciated.

There's no need to mess with those wires, code 41 is a problem with the o2 heater or circuit. Have you checked the resistance of the heater?

o2's do not have a linear voltage output. You need an ocilliscope to see if the o2 is working properly. crosscounts are usually 2-5 per milisecond for a properly functioning o2. If the wire going to the heater circuit has a high resistance a new o2 sensor isn't going to fix the problem.

I'm getting a code 41 too and just bought an 02 sensor. Is this waht I should be replacing or is it just the heater? Are they packaged together?

I guess I'm confused....isn't the heater element actually in the 02? I can't get the code to go away.

Yes, the O2 does contain the heating element, however, the ECU controls it. Have you measured the resistance between the two black wires with the O2 disconnected from the wiring harness?

all I've tested is the voltages I put in the very first post.

o2 hooked up to stock harness/o2 disconnected

Grn- .015/.015

wht- Jumps between .4 and 1.5/ jumps between .6 and 1.5

orange- .03/12

yellow- 12/12

Everybody talks about 'green and black', but I go by the wiring harness after the o2. I don't remember which black correlates with which harness color etc.

Try unhooking the connector at the o2 sensor and measure the resistance between the black wires.
