'void if removed' plug on my b16 block.. wtf?

im assuming this block was remanned?

Is it a plug or something that is held on with a glue that will let go if the engine hits a certain temperature?

Looks like something from a salvage yard. I've seen those at one here in town. If it overheats it changes color or falls off or something like that.

That is to retain your warrenty, if you over heat that motor that tag will fall off and void your warrenty. it is a way for the "seller" to determain how your engine is now needing the warrenty.

That's really slick - I've never seen that before. That's one way to keep tabs on your customer. Unless your customer takes it off and uses the same glue/adhesive to put it back on after it overheats......

The motor was bought From MOTORWORKS on Long Island, they said 30-40k on this motor I dont even think it had a warrenty.... either way its got about 60k on it now
the motor is loud, noisey as **** but doesnt blow any smoke or anything(or are all 1st gens in rexes sound like beasts? or is that the hasport mounts?)
