Default velocity stack on 2.5 inch intake piping?

okay, right now i have a 2.5inch cold air intake and i was looking into velocity stacks but it seems there all 3 inch, i was wondering by any chance it there a way i can make this fit onto a 2.5 inch piping? .. do you think it will be secure with using a coupler and clamp it tight? .. i dont see it really hurting any performace going from 3inch to 2.5 inch.. if anything its just craming it in there harder an faster maybe?.. i could upgrade to a 3inch intake piping, but i dont really want to right now because its alot of more money just for some pipes, and my throttle body isnt 3 inchs so yea..

yeah you could make it work. just get a coupler that is two different sizes. one side 3" and the other 2.5". it would always be better to have 3" piping though.

I've used a 3" to 2.5" coupler to put my velocity stack on an aem long ram intake.

It's not going to be a smooth transition from the lip of the stack to the lip of the intake tubing. Not unless the coupler is made for the intake tube and has a rim etched into the coupler. You'll see what I'm saying if you try it, but then maybe you won't care.

I dont honestly see it doing anything, with or without the transition
