what is the purpose of vibrant v band assembly what does it do just clamp together your welds or what?

.. is an example, im kinda looking at getting it since ppl were saying its lightweight but id like to kno what it does exactly first lol, but is it worth it and what does it do exactly and is it worth the buy of getting 3 kits for it for 225$

 

the kit comes with two flanges and the clamp. you weld the flanges on to two pipes. for example one flange will get welded to the intercooler and the other will get welded to the intercooler tube, then the clamp will mate them. its a really expensive silicone coupler, but these can also be used for exhaust applications as well
