hey guys my valves are clicking when i start the car. they'll stay clickin when the car is idling and its only after i drive for about 10 secs that it goes away. from there on out, theres no more problem. is there a pump thats going bad or pressure being lost somehow?

 

Could be the LMA's.

 

are LMAs only on vtec motors?

 

It might just be your valves need to be adjusted and when your car is cold they are too lose and as it warms the motor up the clearances become into spec.

 

i say valve adjustment.

 

i just adjusted teh valves. still same problem. so, ive taken the risk of gettin splashed with oil by taking the valve cover off and starting the car. absolutely no oil squirts up. sucks. seems like its my oil pump unless someone can tell me otherwise.

 

anyone ever have problems with their oil pumps?
