Default valet switch

there is a button under the steering wheel colum on my 00' si, i was told it disables the alarm after my research? its a clifford. i just bought the car and have no clue what it does. thanks

it will disable your alarm like you said. This is incase you take it in anywhere to get your car serviced. All you have to give them is your key. To disable the alarm, just turn the key to the on position (before turning the car on), and then hold the button till the led light for the alarm comes on. hope that helps

I've been told many times to remove the valet switch to help prevent a theif from stealing your ride. I cut mine off as far back as I could trace it to a wire loom/harness and wrapped it with electrical tape. Completely unoticable!

really? never heard that, but i guess that makes sense. any reason why?
