I tried putting this sending unit in one of the blocks laying around, and the threads are too big for the bung, the thread pitch is the same but it is just too big. has anyone else had this sort of problem. if so what did you do to make it work/ can you just connect the wire to the factory sending unit?

 

they have little brass adapters, you need to find out which one you need
