VAFC question. how do you work this friggin thing
sup all. i have a vafc version 1. i currently have it hooked up in my integra ls/vtec. i figured out how to set the vtec hi and low points. but as far as adjust the air and fuel mixtures i have no friggin clue. i know i should take it to a dyno to tune. but my real question is how to set the fuel correction points and all of these features. i really have no idea how to tune this. please simplfy it for me. im pretty knowlegable. but these instructions that come with it dont make any sense to me. thanx in advance
by the way i searched on here first and have found nothing on this topic

jay, make sure when u goto search you pick archived articles. you usually find more that way. it defaults to active threads. i'd give you some info on vafc but i know nothing about it myself.

Choose V-AFC manual from the list on the side. Why would you get a piece of electronics that could potentially harm your motor if not done correctly and NOT read the instruction maual. You can't say you have because it tells you how to first set the RPM points and then you can set the correction % for those points

come on guys i have read the manual... i just dont get what these adjustments mean. im gonna take it to the dyno and tune it there but, i want to know what to mess with to make it more rich or lean it out. so thats why i asked what these mean in more human like language. the way they explain it in the book is pretty technical. if someone can help on this it would be greatly appreceated. please dont flame me. i just want to learn how to tune my car properly. have you ever want to know about something? i cant stand paying someone else to do it for me. i enjoy doing it myself thanx

No one is flaming you. The manual gives you more than enough information to adjust the correction factor. I have played with both and have a S-AFC manual in front of me so I will try to explain it. It isnt different on a V-AFC I dont think (its been awhile since i played with the V)
Anyway
Go to settings - NE Point. You should have about 8 points to choose from. This is where you set your RPMs for the correction factor. I dont know what settings to put the RPMs at because I dont know your setup and that is something you need to figure out.
After that go to
settings hi thrtl/lo thrtl. This is where you set the correction factor. 0 is stock. nothing is being changed. Negative numbers is leaning it out. Positive numbers is adding fuel. Again here no one can tell you what to put it at. Since you are going to the dyno, you can play with it there
