Default Vafc problem no vtec

I thought my fuel tuning was way out of wack on my vafc.I called a freind and he told me to initalize it.I did.The only problem is that my vtec wont come on.I have the vtec set at 5600 but it just doesn't come on.I dont know much about the vafc but I see alot of other things you can tune that have vtec in the disciption.Any help will be greatly appriciated.

First monitor vto above engagement point to see if the vafc is sending signal. If ok, put a voltmeter or test light on the vto (output) wire and see if you get a reading @ 5600. If all is well there then your problem may be a solenoid or physical limitation.
