Default vafc help

I got a vafc 1 and i installed it on a eg civic. The problem is that the car is pulling a map sensor code with this thinng hooked up.I checked the wiring 3 times and it is correct. When you unhook the pressure wires the car runs fine.anyone got any ideas why this might happen. thanks

Did you set up the parameters correctly and go through the initialization described in the user manual?

After the VAFC has been initialized, it's effectively 0'd out which means MAP output should eqaul MAP input - as if the VAFC isn't even there.

So if you disconnect the MAP wires and hook them back up to one another and get no code, then either your wiring is wrong, the VAFC is bad or you didn't set it up properly.

I would also bet that the setup was incorrect. There are a number of setup parameters that you have to set (as you probably know) for your car. Check those again.
