so i was intalling my header when i noticed there was oil stains all over and its coming from my v-tec solonoid, is this normal in hondas (motor is a b18c1) time too spend more money fixing up this car with many troubles
No. This is not normal, I would take off the VTEC solenoid and check the filter and make sure all is clean, as well as the bolts that bolt the solenoid on the head is properly torqued.
take it off, clean the screen, and find out if the dealership sells that gasket alone. It's probably inexpensive.
not inexpensive, but probably will stop your leak problem (it stopped mine

the little f*cking screen.
for a cheap alternative
use some liquid gasket. make sure you put it on the OUTSIDE of the gasket, not where oil is.

It might not be the vtec solenoid. It could possibly be the cam seal that is right next to it. Thats where my oil was leaking from before.
But if oil is all over the solenoid, and not just running down the side of the head, then forget about what I said.

I've had 5 hondas with Bseries vtec engines and had solenoid leaks on 3 of them!, Damn $15 for that seal, i only paid around $2-3 if i remember correctly!
Yep, you have to remove your exhaust camshaft in order to replace the cam seal. You can even get an aftermarket one which is made of aluminum or some other kind of metal if you want. Don't forget to add a small amount of liquid gasket to make sure it doesn't leak again.
