Default Using BOV causes car to run rich?

Will replacing the factory bypass valve on a WRX with an open-atmosphere blow off valve cause your car to run rich? Thanks in advance!

I know on the S4, if I use a BOV instead of BPV's my engine will start to bog because of the rich mixture.

I'm not sure about this one, so don't take it as the final word.

Does the WRX use a MAF or a MAP? With a MAF, the ECU has metered the amount of air going in before the throttle body, and if you blow it off, it will run extremeley rich for a moment. If you have a MAP, the air doesn't get metered until after the blow off valve, so the ECU doesn't add fuel when you've blown off all the boost.
