the type r ones are thinner and lighter. my brother worked at a machine shop and i remember him saying something about how you shouldn't do valve jobs on type r valves because they're already so thin. If i remember right, they'll fit in a b16 head. you should go ahead and replace them all.
for some reason i was thinking that the b16 and b18c5 valves were seated differently, but im not 100%. mihgt want to double check before you rip the head apart.
yeah i heard all that crap too..still not sure if its true..but my friend says they fit right in..im suppose to have ITR valves in a B16 head on my B20..but the head did come off hes B18C5 soo..but im thinking its a C5 block with a B16 head...same difference..both heads are PR3 castings..!
