two-wire to one-wire horn conversion
i've been trying to get a set of one-wire horns to work on my '95 eg with no luck. H-T i need help !!!!!! and please i need step by step pref. w/ pics im a newbie
hmm.. off the top of my head without digging up wire diagrams, 2 wires use a relay. 1 wire has always-on power to the horn through the steering wheel and the ground is the housing bolted to the body.
did your horn not work before?

Simple, the one wire horn is grounded when mounted, 12V+ must be supplied to the one wire.
Test the two leads of the two wire plug to see if the 12V+ is the switched lead, on when horn button pressed, if so connect that lead to horn wire, if on the other hand it is the ground lead that is switched you will need a relay to switch polarity.
What is the MM&Y of the car? 94

96 what, Ford Pinto?
The horn on the 99 Civic is driven by a relay, [like a lot of Honda/Acura and most other cars] the horn button supplies the horn relay with a ground, [#85 pin on relay] the relay supplies the horn with 12V+ , the horn is grounded through it's mounting, the only real diff. with a 2 wire system is the ground is also supplied by a wire.
Some horn systems the 12V+ is supplied directly to the horn and the ground is switched, always a 2 wire system. 94

A 96 Civic does have a horn relay, all you need to do is mount the horn and connect the horns one (1) wire to the correct lead in the two wire plug, sorry, I do not have a wire color, but only one of the leads in the two wire plug will work, the other is a ground. 94
i tried that before, no luck. after thinking, it doesnt look stock eventho it work, so yesterday i bought a 2 wires 2nd hand horn from chopshop to solve my problem. i don know if it's originally for civic. on the horn it has 'mitsuba' brand one it, and say 110dB. is it a standard one for civic 96?
Don't know, what model of 96 Civic, EK would make it a JDM right hand drive, I'm guessing it is not a JDM Civic.
Anyway, as long as the horn works and you can mount it, your good to go. 94

I myself have a similar problem. I have a 2000 automatic integra. I converted it to manual with a b20z and a type r lsd tranny. Car revs fine with auto ecu obd2.However I converted it to obd1 with an obd2b to obd1 harness alongside a 1995 obd1 p75 manual ecu. And now the car wont rev pass 5500. It hits 5500 but then just goes down and picks up again. The problem only persists while with in obd1?
How do I fix this?
Thanking you in advance
