Turbo on Type R
I have a question. I am thinking about getting a turbo kit for my Type R. I can get one near $1000 but, I was wondering what all needs to be done to the motor like tuning and stuff like that. And how much more do you think I'll be spending?? Thanks!
I always say $1000 more than you expect. I needed a half rad, different crossmember, and a bunch of little stuff that added up. You might want to put a new clutch in while your at it too. You will deff. need a tune if you want it to last and run good.
ctr or itr? good tune for sure, what are you getting for a $1000? you'll need injectors a chipped p28 2.5-3" exhaust, clutch if you dont have one, boost gauge, and if your smart you'll get a wideband afr gauge since you'll be boostin with 10.8-11.2 cr.
edit: afr gauge isent really needed unless your tunning yourself.

why did you even buy a CTR motor then? Type R motors come factory P/P coulda got a normal b16 motor and just boosted that same ****.. type R are for N/A but w.e its all preference

get the *** off the bandwagon mr "i listen to everybody", you dont know what your saying: i dont have to justify my purchase to you, a turbo type r will make more power than a turbo b16a, plus the tranny is A LOT better, and the P&P head you mention, hey guess what? that helps out on boosted applications too. so do the type-r cams and the dual valve springs. oh theres more: the higher rpm capability of the engine and its excellent rs ratio means i dont really have to worry about the sleeves. guess what cams revhard used in there race car back in the day? type-r! im not saying type r ownes all but it certainly owenes b16a... you cant just say a bunch of **** and then say "but we all have prefrences" if thats the case dont bash mine! do i hear a bell ringing? oh thats right cause you just got SCHOOLED!

lmfao ohh shitt taking things up the *** now are we? hahha WTF that was the gayest **** ive heard - hear a bell? you just got schooled.. ohh watch out.. i got schooled.. ******* ****** i didnt bash yours you dickwad i was just stating what i think so technically your bashing mine you ******* bitch calm the expletive down and relax mr hardass
your questioning why i bought a certain motor, you bring up the fact that it has a mildly ported head (not sure how thats even relavent) and tell me that some other motor is better. you offer no facts or info to back your claim. then you say "but its all prefrence" that **** pisses me off. i dont mind if you want to disagree, but **** man give me some reasons dont just bandwagon. im still waiting for those reasons by the way. you made such a bold statement, tell me why. if you cant back your claims you deserve someone like me being rude to you.
