right now i have a jdm itr tranny which means the gear ratios are extremely short. i have a gsr motor and i was hoping if going turbo is a good idea.. i mean the gears go through way to fast to have it turboe'd .. but i was hoping if anyone had any suggestions.. i also have skunk2 pro2 cams w/ a full built head. port polished.. and stock block..

like you said it would be shame in my opinion to waste that jdm trans i would just go N/A but then again i am an N/A guy having said that if you go turbo you would have to sell that trans for a longer geared trans

but for turbo those gears are too short generally you want longer gears for turbo

 

what do you think is pretty descent tranny? i'm thinking about going gsr w/ lsd..

do you know what the ratios are.. my tranny is straight from japan w/ no mileage.. what's your gears and the condition of it?
