Default Transmission slime problem~

Here is what the inside of my transmission looked like when i removed it and all the brown scrapped out in a curly gritty slime. Im not sure if it was brake fluid or what but I do konw that it should only be dusty, not slimy so if anyone can give me advice on waht the cause of this was and what i need to do before i re install I would GREATLY appreciate it.

Check the main seal on the block and see if it's leaking.

This "main seal"... is it the only seal that could fail and result in this way?

three seals that can cause that......

main seal on rear of the crank
main seal on the input shaft
seal on the slave cylinder

Take a pic of the block after removing the flywheel.
