transmission problems
so ok i dont know much about transmissions...so i dont know whether it is a syncro or a gear slipping or how to tell...but i have some knowledge of engines...i have a 94 Integra with the standard b18b ls motor...
so heres my story...when i shift into 2nd gear it has a lot of resistance, until the tach gets real low then it will slip into gear and it will be fine with no revving or clutch slipping...and 3rd and 4th are a little tough too...but when i skip 2nd and go straight to 3rd its not as bad, but still is resistant
at first i thought it may be the clutch but it doesnt seem to be slipping or missing once it gets in gear...now someone has told me it may be a syncro out of timing, how can i tell?

Syncro's actuall help spin the gears to match the imput shaft speed so that the gears can match up and slide together without grinding.....
If you are having trouble getting it into gear and there is no grinding I would suggest shifter forks. I know that syncros almost never go bad in D series trannies but the forks go bad all the time.

actually it does seem to grind a little bit...if i press the clutch in and and shift like normal it grinds but if i hold it longer and let the car idle more it doesnt seem to do it...and it is a b series
