Default transmission pin linkage connector

I baught a GSR transmission and the part of the transmission that connects to the shift linkage was broken. It is the part where the pin goes inside the hole, it is no longer a hole just half, what should i do, weld it or is there a way to replace that (shift rod)

Open up the tranny and replace the shift rod. Pretty simple.
