Default Transmission Cooling???

Hi there- im new to the forum- this is my first post.

Id just like to thank everyone who's informative posts i have read that have helped with the development of my car!!

Anyway to my question;

I am aware that LSD's can get hot and malfuncation, therefore for cars such as the 200sx .etc, there is a kit similar to an automatic transmission cooler, pumping the fluid around an oil cooler- to ensure the oil temperature stays stable.

I use my civic on the tracks over here in the uk, and soon will be upgrading to an LSD. I know it would be pretty easy to equip my car with a transmission cooler, but i would just like to know if there is any point...?

If there is no point- why should a rwd car require cooling, and a fwd honda be an exception... My main aim is to ensure my gearbox / diff last as long as possible.

Thanks in advance- i hope this starts a bit of banter...

Chris

Transmission Heat is not that big of an issue, they dont make coolers for them, becase theres transmission cooling lines hooked up through the radiator and the transmission pumps the fluids through, and they just put the cooling radiatior between them

On manuals the fluid just gets tossed around... Just use some good gear oil and youll be fine, the worst thing heats gonna do is make your clutch slip...
