i got pulled over by the chp.. they said the vin off my tranny was taken off and could be hot... my dads a fireman and i b.s with him for about a hour and he took off.. but he say just cuz that my car came be taken....


i bought the tranny off of another ht member a few years back...

what i wanna know the part where the vin is can i just remove it and put a like a ls or b16? the housing part.

my tranny is a itr with LSD.

 

usually when cops run it, they just run the vins against if the stolen stuff, if the vin is different from your car, theyll run it, and usually hassle u

 

You can remove the vin and change it over with another one. Problem is that you need to be the owner of the one you put on or at least make sure it is not stolen.

Also FYI....when you buy a new tranny from the dealer, it has no VIN. Guess they expect you to put your old one back on.
