Default tranny help

i just finished replacing the 1/2nd and 3/4 synchros in my gsr transmission. got everything back together and its only seems like it goes in 3rd gear. another thing is it will start fine with the clutch in but no matter where i put the shifter as soon as i let out the clutch it dies..the rotors dont start to spin and then die so im not sure whats up. could i have over tightened the bolts on the casing? please any insight.

Yeah, it may be something inside the transmission causing some major resistance. Before you bolted it back together, did you hand turn the input shaft? I put one together once and didn't align the angled clip at the end of the input shaft when assembling it... the shaft didn't move until the case was reopened and that clip adjusted.

The same transmission then burt up the 5th gear synchro due to clearances being too tight. This caused the shaft to lock with the clip/housing... lots of fun.
