Default tranny gurus please help ASAP

I posted this on the hybrid board as well so don't ask me why I posted twice. I think I have a problem with my trans specifically the differential. it's a 01 ITR trans on a B16 in a 92 hb. when I'm at slower speeds like 15 and below in 1st or second it makes a clonking sound. so I grab the CV joint and it has play on the tranny side. up down all directions and I can spin it a tiny tiny bit. both sides do this especially the Intermediate shaft side. feels lik I'm moving the whole I shaft inside it's hopusing. seems like It is doing it in the diff. is it normal to have a little bit of play like this????

Are u sure it's not bad cv joints? That much play in the tranny would be certain death very soon for it.

i'd take out your axles and have 'em checked, make sure they are workin good and boots are good. also check to see if there is a snug fit into the differential in the tranny.....check the differential make sure nothing is loose

there is no clicking when I'm turning. I know thats bad CV boots. also there is no clickin when decelerating. it's when I am accelerating, the very second I hit the gas there is a slit clonk. I park the car and grab the cv joints. they have slight movement in all directions.
