Default tranny/clutch problem

I have a act prolite flywheel and a action 2md clutch I'm currently putting in my 95 integra as we speak. I can get the tranny back on but theres about a 1/4 inch gap between the tranny and the block. Could it be my spindle isnt going into the clutch or something else. I Can't get the rear mount to line up either. Is there a secret on how to get it to line up right or am I just stupid and need to try it again. thanks guys

I can see a couple of possibilities.

1.) Clutch alignment is offset and the mainshaft isn't making it all the way into the flywheel pilot bearing.

2.) Something's caught in between the tranny casing and the engine block. Make sure nothing's caught in between the two.

You may want to try threading a couple of bolts in and turning them to close up the gap. If the gap doesn't want to close, then there's an obstruction. Find and remove it before going any further.

It also helps to have lightly greased the splines on the mainshaft where it engages the clutch. Sometimes the splines will stick without any lube.

did you leave the driver side drive axel on b/c when i left mine on i had the same problem so i just took off that side drive axel off and then the trans went on smooth you have to be a little rough though too so it can get in fast. but it also could be your clutch too did you use the alignment tool ?
if not then that could be your problem

ps the clutch disk can t be on backwards b/c then the pressure plate would never go one so that cant be it
