Track Day tire question
I currently use a set of Kumho Victroracers for track days and autocrossing, however this Friday looks like rain. I've been using this set of tires since Sept. 2002. The two main gooves are still ok, but most of the outside "shallow" tread is gone.
My question is:
Since it looks like rain this Friday @ Summit Point, should I used the Kumhos, or should I use my crapy Sumitomo SRIXON4s? Also, how likely will it be to encounter "standing water" @ Summit Point.
Thanks guys!
Ambivalent about a track day in the rain,

I would say that if the Kumhos are not finished (heat cycled out) then they are probably better than crappy full-tread tires. As for the Kumhos in the rain, it really depends on the amount of moisture on the track. Standing water: crap tires. Kinda wet: Victos.
