Default TPS sensor removal??

What is the best way to remove this thing? I will be doing my swap soon, and while carring my engine home in my car it tipped forwared and broke that damn thing clean in half But I was just wondering since it is pop rivited on and all. Thanks..

drill them out...you have to adjust the new one too

just take off the whole throttle body when doing it.


edit -> nevermind, didn't see that you broke it

when you get a new one, take the whole throttle body off when installing it, that way you don't break it again

Thanks for the help..But some people said you can cut notches in to the rivet style things and screw them out with a flat head screw driver... Hopefully this is true.

i just used a hammer with a flat head and unscrewed it by hitting it till it screwed out.

Hey man whats up? I am the one that had that 89 CAMO DX Hb with the LS from Kennadale..The one with slicks..

Well I traded that car for a 92 DX and I am putting a D16Y8 in it soon..Just need a ECU..You got any parts for a SOHC VTEC?

Cutting slots is the best way. You can reuse them if you wish or use new bolts once they're out. If you have or know anyone with a vafc (or safc), plug your TB to the car that has it and use it to calibrate the TPS. Closed is .45v and WOT is 4.5v. Thats the easist way I know to do it, it takes 15 seconds.

Use your dremel tool and make a scribe on the TB and TPS in the same spot. Why are you removing it?

Thats the easist way I know to do it, it takes 15 seconds.
whats the harder way to do it if an afc is not avaliable?
does auto zone or napa sell the tps...separately?
