TPS Problem and Question?
I just changed my stock throttle body to a bigger aftermarket throttle body but i used the same TPS sensor. Now after installing everything, my car bogs out at low rpms and certain high rpms but not all the time. Do I need a new TPS or does it just need adjusting? Any advice?
I didn't adjust it at all. I just moved it to the new throttle body. This is what happened. I installed everything, took the car for a good 30 minute ride. Shut it off for a little while, then for another 20 minute ride. The first ride was fine. On the second ride, it just started to bog out at a stop light while I was taking off. It does it most of the time now, but not all the time. I upgraded to a 69mm throttle body and got my intake manifold ported to match.
yeah adjust the TPS, you need a voltmeter, tps usually have 3 wires since its a potientometer, 1 of them should be ground, the other one should read 5 volts, and the other is what you use to adjust, get the specs for shopkey or some other source, there should be an idle voltage and also a WOT voltage.
