Tourqe specs question
I'm not an engine wizard but recently my brother and i had to replace my engine with a new one from an automatic to a standard which means we took the transmission, clutch, flywheel, etc off. And putting it back on he doesnt seem to think torqueing everything down to spec is needed. He's the one doing the work. I'm there for moral support. Should I be worried?

There's plenty of generic little nuts & bolts that an experienced mechanic can just "tighten by feel". But there's STILL plenty of them that need to be tightened to a specific torque.

Seconded. You are saying your car is a MT and the engine came from an auto?
The flywheel/pressure plate/clutch assembly is subjected to quite a bit of abuse and should DEFINITELY be torqued to spec.
