Tops of piston rings?

Tops of piston rings?

My rings have a letter "N" stamped on them. is that the top of the rings? Also my oil ring "guards/keepers" do not have any markings. Is there no top or bottom on the oil rings?

Yes & no. You're aligneng them according to spec yes? Take your time and get it right.

ok cool. yeah I did everything properly, I even measured them in the bore before hand. Thanks.
