Default Tools

Hello Everyone,

So as i was getting ready to go to the junkyard, i noticed that my dad had left and he keeps the giant bag of tools that we have for any occasion in his truck. I think it's time that i got my own tools instead of sharing, So my question is what are some essential tools that i should always have in the back of my car. or even when going to a junkyard what do you bring

I should of anticipated that answer.

The problem with that is all the tools are in a bag, mix and match, so whenever i need a tool its usually in there, But the bag usually takes two people two lift, i don't want to be carrying around that many tools, that will weigh the car down, I'm looking for more of a you should carry [certain tools] on a day to day basis so if you need to pull a battery off you can, change a tire you can, basic roadside stuff,

I always carry a small 10pc craftsman set, that includes a ratchet and a small assortment of sockets.

In my PicknPull tool box I have a set of deep metric 3/8" sockets, [10mm-17mm, but no 11mm] spark plug socket, a ratchet a long and short extention and a "flex bar".

A set of open/closed end metric wrenches, [7mm-17mm, but no 11mm].

1/4" drive magnetic sockets, 7mm, 8mm and 10mm, deep and shallow, ratchet, driver and a short and long extention.

1/4" drive screw gun, with long Philips tip and assorted ends, spare batt.

Philips screw driver, long one and stubby one, flat screw driver, big and small one, a set of picks, and a pry bar.

Vice grips, pliers, side cutters, needle nose pliers, nut cracker and two sizes crescent wrench.

A can of MoveIt, butane torch, [small one] mechanics gloves, paper towels and a box of band aids.

I usualy also bring my Snap On 14V impact gun, depending on what I am getting. 94
