Default tool question

Is there a down side to using impact sockets with hand tools instead of an impact wrench?

nope just the other way around, using regular sockets on an impact gun could mess up the sockets. Impact sockets are harder. I use impact sockets all the time no matter what rachet/tool they are attached to

I use regular (craftsman) sockets all the time and haven't had any problems...

The only disadvatage of impact sockets with hand ratchets is that they are made of thicker stronder metal and will sometimes have a problem in tight fits.
