Too many miles a problem?
Im looking at buying a 92 civic hatch. Im almost certain im going to be doing some kind of engine swap within a year or so if I do go ahead with it. While trying to find a civic I have come to this question. Do miles really mean anything to the rest of the cars performance if I'm puting a new engine in it?
depending on whether those are highway/race/traffic miles will let you know the condition of the rest of the car. chances are, (for 125,000+), you will need to check/replace the shock/springs and radiator (if nessesary). you might look at replacing all of the worn hoses, lines, nuts and bolts. but overall, (if you're ditchin a/c and p/s) it depends on how the car was driven
the parts that will need to be replaced, will be replaced if your looking to build the car the RIGHT way, definition of right way-from the ground up
