Default Timing question on built b series

Had a gsr block and b16 head fully built and put together. Running skunk2 pro 2s and I noticed the cam gears are maybe off half a tooth to a full tooth. Now my question is are they supposed to be like that bc of the cams or is it supposed to be lined up and then adjusted from the cam gears on the dyno?

This will depend on how much, if, the head has been milled and/or the block decked.

It could simply be off.

We wont know this or anything else without more information from you.

The cams have nothing to do with being able to put an engine in time.

so it was resurfaced flat. That isnt going to make much difference in engine timing unless the head was milled down prior to that resurface. If it has only been resurfaced flat once, there should be no problem getting the marks to line up.
