Default Timing belt or Timing chain, pro's and cons.

what are the pro's and con's of both designs
pro -t.belt .....quiter and less weight
pro -t-chain..... durability less chance of slipping

you pretty much have it covered. don't k series engines have timing chains?

Yes K's use timing chains and so does the S2000's F series engine.

One more advantage of timing belts is lower manufacturing cost. This is due to the lower cost of the belt, no need for lubrication, and no need to seal the belt into the engine. Of course, the flip side is that the belt needs to be periodically replaced.

Chains chatter, belts snap... I'd rather have a chain.

I've heard more noise from timing belts than from timing chains on Hondas. Hondas chain set-up is very quiet.
