Default Timing Belt Questions...

Yesterday my dad and I changed my timing belt (d16z6) on my del sol. Well we put the belt on pretty tight because the reason I changed it would shake alot after it would pass the cam gear durings its ratation. Now... I can hear a deep humming sound that I didn't hear before. It doesn't sound too bad, but I still have concern. Anyways...what is too tight for a timing belt? How much play should it have?

If your timing belt is too tight , its not good. There should be a little slack in the belt. It shouldn't be extremely tight, loosen it up a little is what I recommend
