Default Timing belt problem?

Have anyone ever heard what a motor sounds like after a timing belt change and you are off by a tooth?

I recently change my timing belt and right when I start the car, the rpm jumps up to 3k and gradualy moves down. When it's warm and it's at idle, the motor shakes like it's going to die lie when the rpm is too low, but it sits at around 800. Any info will help. Thanks.

It can sound normal. You can tell if it is off a tooth cuz there will be very little power when you try to accelerate.

I would reference the crank pulley marks to the cam pulleys, just to make sure you're not off a tooth. Have you checked your ignition timing lately?
