I was wondering if someone can help me out on this one. I was looking to get a new ITR/GSR water pump. I know that there are more teeth on the ITR/GSR vs. B16A (22 vs. 19). But my question is Can i use a B16A timing belt or should i be using a GSR/ITR??? I can find any info on this. I did searches on 'timing belt' and 'water pump'. Can someone help me out.

 

which engine do you have? if you have a B18C then use a B18C timing belt as there are more teeth on it than on the B16A belt (3 or 4 more), if you have a B16 engine then the GSR/ITR water pump wont fit as they have a different bolt pattern as far as i know.

If you have a JDM B16A (1st gen) then use a '92-'93 Integra GSR water pump. A del Sol VTEC timing belt works for this engine also.

 

um the B16A uses a 22 tooth water pump,

it is hte B18A and B20's that use hte 19 tooth pump...

I have a JDM B16A. I just went and looked at my water pump and it has a stamp on the pulley '22T'. Well what should i do now??? Do all VTEC water pumps 22T??? I starting to get very confused??? So does ITR/GSR flow more B16A water pump??? If it does how does it flow more??? Don' t they have the same amount of teeth??? Is it because of the longer timing belt???

that is ANY belt for a B16A - but only B16A...

Look at raene post...he says that i need a 92-93 gsr water pump. Its the only one that fits a JDM B16A(1st Gen.)? Do you know if this is true?

 

dude, ALL B series water pumps fit all b series engine.

in your case you need a short belt (B16A) and a 22 tooth pump (B16A).

from any B16A engine, JDM, USDM, Europe...

the GSR 22 tooth pump is same as B16A tooth pump.

it will be easier for you to ask for a GSR pump cause that is what it would be commonly refered to in your country (i assume you are in USA?)
