trouble starting

Default trouble starting

the last few days i've noticed that when i go to start my car i need to pump the gas pedal to get it started, ive never had to do this before. Anyone know what i should check??

Hmm.. You have to pump the gas pedal to get it started..?.. I don't know.. I would guess the fuel pump or the fuel injector main relay.. But you might want to check the oil also. Pull out the dipstick and take a whiff of it. Does it smell somewhat like gasoline. If it does, I believe it should be the fuel pressure regulator's vacumm diagphram. But that's a wild guess.. I hope some of this helps..

the gas tank is about 1/4 full, i only need to pump the gas pedal when the engine is cold. To me it sounds like its not getting enough fuel so possible bad injectors??
is there anyway i can check the injectors?

start basic and then get more complcated saves time and money...

replace your fule filters, check for kinked fuel lines etc.

its funny - you have injection, so pumping hte gas doesnt do anything to the fuel.

it ONLY opens and closes the throttle.

this signals hte TPS sensor and MAP sensor and the ECU works out hte fuel...

you can get your injectors cleaned and balanced if you think that is the problem...
