which timing belt to use with b20 with b16 head?

GSR t/b, plus water pump. You probably want to use oil pump also.

But it will not fit right without the water pump too. CRV's w/p have less teeth.

can a b16 water pump be used? if so then get a b16 timing belt?

B16A/B/B18C/1/5 all use the same VTEC water pump... If you use a VTEC water pump then just go with a P72 (GSR) timing belt... If you use a nonVTEC pump then use a PR4 (LS/CRV) t-belt... The B16A's is shorter overall and only works for the B16A because due to it's short deck height of 263mm's as apose to the LS/CRV/GSR's 270mm deck... Hope that helps... Peace
