Default TICKING nooise

ok yesterday i accidently over revved my b20 and then it started to have a quiet tick..by time i got home it got louder..does anyone know what the problem really is and how much it should cost me to fix it?? thankss

if you had overrev your motor it might be that the nuts on top of the rocker arm cam loose. to make sure use a 3/8 extension and put one end to your ear and move teh other end along the top of the valve cover while the motor is on idle. if you need any help im me.

You need to find where the ticking is comming from first. Is it the upper or low portion of the engine?

Could have bent a valve... I'd do a valve adjust first, see if it makes any difference... If not then I'm guessing you bent a valve, you can double check this by running a leakdown test... Any air leaking coming out of either the IN/EX manifold would indicate bent valves... Just my $0.02, Good Luck
