i have a b18c swaped ek.....so i money shifted from 4th to 3rd and after i noticed a ticking coming from the motor..... well ive been babying it lately and the ticking almost when away i can only hear it some times and if im crusing at a steady 4 grand its not there at all(driving next to someting to listen) its just at idle and low rps. i have had a idle paoblem from day one after the swap and nothing has changed sence.....bent valve i thought would not go away and make the car run like ? so im thinking its something eles in the head?? any one have this problemn or a solution?? any way i can tell with the valve cover open?? anything please its so anoying as you can imagiam

id check the valves, could possibly use an adjustment.

go through and check each adjustment screw above the valves to make sure none of them are loose.

Couple things i'd do:

Do a leak down test
Check valve lash .006-.007 Intake, .007-.008 exhaust. Cold

 

Leakdown you want to do hot BTW. Valve lash you set cold.
