Thrust washer problem
Ok, when I was pulling the pistons out today. I wasn't paying attention and rotated the crank a little too much. One of the thrust washers fell out.
I was able to put it back in, but it sits kinda loose (washer on the oil pump side). The thrust washer on the clutch side sits in there nice and firm.
I noticed that these will not rotate at all and stay in place if the main caps are installed. Well when I pulled the block girlde, the main caps came out with it.
(dunno if that's normal) So when I reinstall the main caps/block girlde will the thrust washer on the oil pump side sit firmly and not wabble around?

ROFL
OK. I guess I'm just over analyzing it. If anyone else has input on this situation, please let me know.

i have this problem on my h22
the one thrust washer closest to the flywheel is all ground up and loose as hell. you can push up on both ends and it moves.... but the other one fits snug and to get it to move you only can push up on one end... is there somethign wrong?
