I know theres threads on this and forgot what the symtom was, searched for it and couldn't find the threads. Maybe bad ecu? Well i'm throwing a CEL but when i check it, it just turns off. When I check it after turning the motor off then turn the ignition on, no CEL turns on. Only happens once in a while. It's a chipped p28 ecu also.

 

check it while the car is on next time when the code pops up

Then i left the paperclip on there then turned it off, turned it back on and no cel light goes on. The p28 doesn't save codes?

 

It sound like a faulty ecu then. Try finding a friend that has another p28 ecu and tried it out.

 

yea i got another vtec ecu an p72 but im tuned on the chipped p28 i have already so yea...
