throttle sticking on 97 Civic
When I step on the gas, the peddle travel motion doesn't feel smooth anymore. It feels like it has to go over a hump before the movement is smooth. It make my launch kind of jerky if I step on it lightly.
Is there something I need to WD40? If so, where?
Some causes could be...
Throttle cable could have gotten a kink in it if someone wasn't carefull while
working in the area and damaged it.
Cable might need lubrication.
A lip of carbon build-up around the throttle plate. Intake cleaner and a small brush will clear it out.
