throttle cable adjust and throttle plate position
does the throttle plate have to be fully open (horizontal) when the pedal is fully pressed?
The way I have my throttle cable tension set up; when the pedal is fully pressed, its still got about 15 degrees from being fully horizontal. If I tension my throttle cable so that my throttle is fully open(horizontal) when the pedal is to the floor, the car idles at 2.5k-3k rpm and I always have to blip the pedal to get it down to idle at 2k rpm.
So what is the throttle cable setting normally at? fully horizontal throttle plate when pedal is to the floor? or about 15% from fully horizonal?

Yes, it has to be opened all the way once its presses all the way down. I was having a problem with the throttle cable tightening up by itself it works fine now you could take it off and clean the inside of the cable
